For over 30 years, we have been mainly engaged in the research and development of energy and environmental catalysis for efficient conversion and clean utilization of oil and gas resources, rare earth catalysis, and new catalytic materials. As the responsible person, I have undertaken 16 national level projects and more than 30 provincial, ministerial, municipal, and bureau level projects. Among them, the national level projects undertaken include: one key research and development plan project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, three 863 theme (special topic) project topics, one major research plan integration, key and cultivation project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one joint fund key project, six general projects, and one international cooperation project. At the same time, as a research backbone (or task leader), I have participated in three 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and am currently participating in one major research and development plan project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Published over 580 catalytic related papers in top or well-known academic journals both domestically and internationally in the field of chemical engineering (catalysis), such as PNAS; Angel Chem. Int. Ed.; Energy&Environment. Science; AICHE J; J. Catal.; ACS Catal.; Appl. Catal. B: Environment. Published articles have been cited more than 20700 times (SCOPUS) with an H-factor of 76. Selected from 2014 to 2022 for 9 consecutive years in the list of highly cited scholars in China (in the field of chemical engineering) released by Elsevier. Apply for 90 invention patents, of which 62 have been authorized. I have given over 100 special invited speeches, keynotes, and invited speeches at catalytic conferences both domestically and internationally. As the chairman of the conference, initiated and hosted the 1st International Symposium on Catalytical Removal of Root Particles from Engine Exhaust Emissions; I have hosted 5 national academic conferences and participated in organizing or hosting multiple international and domestic academic conferences related to catalysis as a member of the organizing committee or academic committee.

I have received funding from the Japanese government AIST and the New Energy Development Organization (NEDO) for two high-level fellowships to work as a postdoctoral fellow and for three years at the National Institute of Resources and Environmental Technology in Japan and the Osaka Institute of Industrial Technology; In 2017, won the second prize of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Technology Invention Award (ranked second); Received the Rare Earth Resource Utilization Science&Technology Award in 2018; Received the Outstanding Contribution Award for New Materials and Their Synthesis from the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in 2019; In 2020, he won multiple awards such as the First Prize for Basic Research Achievements of the Chinese Chemical Society (first place), the First Prize for Rare Earth Science and Technology of China (first place), and the First Prize for Teaching Achievements of Universities in Liaoning Province (first place). In 2021, he was selected as an international VEBLEO society organization FELLOW and won the Hou Debang Chemical Technology Award innovation award from the Chinese Chemical Society and the Liaoning Outstanding Science and Technology Worker. We have jointly trained 40 doctoral students and 105 master's students. Among them, one person was selected as a Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education, one person was selected as a younger Changjiang Scholar, one person was selected as one of the top young scholars in the Organization Department of the Central Committee, one person was selected for the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award, and two people were selected as excellent doctoral dissertations in Beijing.
